Anime director Noboru Ishiguro passed away on March 20, 2012 at the age of 73. Ishiguro directed such anime as Space Battleship Yamato, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, the 1980s Astro Boy anime series, Megazone 23, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I have posted a biography of Noboru Ishiguro to the Anime site.
