Soda water works a treat, the sooner you use it after the mess the better, just pour it over and clean and soak it up then shampoo the carpet etc. It works, or at least it has for me when I was traning my puppy. We don't get skunks in Johannesburg so can't say for that, but wee wee on wood and carpets definitely go with soda water. Dunno why.

Soda water is suppose to work on red wine stains. I have used dish soap, peroxide, and baking soda on skunk sprays. Works perfect every time. The guy that invented could of made a fortune except for it couldn't be packaged and sold. All the ingredients have to be mixed right away and used right away.
