Hello Connie,

You may have covered this topic elsewhere, but is there/are there any 'quick fix' exercises that an adult can set his mind to doing to help him handle what he has defined as ADD.

He is not looking to be healed as it were, and is not really interested in taking medication that may make him dull, unable to think quickly or slow down.

Do other adults who have been diagnosed as ADD or ADHD have any tips and tricks for simple focusing actions that one could take?

Would appreciate it if there was some feedback and say thanks.

Best wishes

Hi Lestie, thanks for asking.

Yes, many people are not helped by meds. Some because they never had a doctor who knew that prescribing meds is an art and a science. You need to try various meds until you find the right one. A correct med at a proper dosage should not make a person feel all zombiefied. However, others don't want to take meds, or after many trials find that they just don't work.

For those who want a more natural approach, the section titled Improve Symptoms could be just what they are looking for. I enjoy Tai Chi to improve my focus. Here is a link to just that part of the ADD site.

Thank you for stopping by. Let me know if this helps.

Hi Connie,

Thanks for this, will pass it on to him and see if it helps or if he will even consider it. He swings like a pendulum. One minute he agrees that he has an 'ADD aproach' to life to saying it is all a lot of tosh and that the syndrome is just a modern made up medical playground for live drug trials. Oh dear. I also have got a bullet for interferring and assuming that he is interested.

Ah well. Life is always interesting I am finding!

Cheers and to our health...

Lestie, some people know that they are differently brained, but they just can't deal with the reality of it. We all walk our own path. He's lucky to have you help him with his journey.
