A friend bought a pair of white pants and spilled coffee on them.She washed them but she says that there are still brownish spots.Can someone help me with this problem

You can make a paste with baking soda and water and let it soak into the stain for overnight or 3-4 hours. Then rub it together and run it through the wash. Repeat until stain is gone.
