This week's article Feng Shui And Abundance inspires us to let the energy of abundance flow fluidly through our homes and offices, but it's just the beginning.

What are some of the feng shui ideas you've used in the past? Did they work?

I had read a few articles on feng shui in the 1990s, was intrigued, but hadn't put anything to the test. Then I met Dennis and Buddy.

Dennis was going through a nasty romantic split and was living in a small, urban apartment. Buddy, his dog, was used to having a beautiful yard and the freedom to roam it at will. He didn't like the tiny, new apartment any more than his human did.

Every time Dennis would leave home, Buddy would bark, whine, and create general commotion that annoyed his neighbors so much Dennis got nasty notes on the door, ugly phone calls, and complaints to the management. Dennis was beside himself thinking he'd have to find Buddy a new home.

One day I asked him if I could move his furniture around a little. He asked why. I told him I'd been reading about feng shui and just wanted to play around with it a bit. He indulged me, we got to moving furniture, and Dennis really liked the new look but we were curious to know how - or if - it would affect Buddy.

The change was dramatic and instant. After that night, there were no more complaints about Buddy's behavior. No more problems with barking, whining, no notes, phone calls, or complaints to the manager. Neighbors would even remark to Dennis that they thought he'd gotten rid of the dog, it was so quiet, but they'd see them outside enjoying their daily walks.

I became a believer. Love feng shui! Can't wait to read your article. Thank you!

Love the article!! I just moved into a new place and haven't done a feng shui evaluation. Thanks to your abundance article, I think I'm OK in that department. That's all that matters to me right now - abundance and wealth so I can afford a more stable, long-term home. I'm feeling so optimistic now! THANK YOU!!

Terrific Sandy ~ I'm glad you enjoyed the article, and good luck in your new digs!

That was a great story about your friend and his dog. Amazing (but really no surprise, when you think about it) that a dog would react so positively to a simple change like that. I can see a whole new niche -- feng shui for animal lovers! Maybe someone's doing that already, though. smile

I think the story about the guy and his dog is really cool. Animals are really sensitive. I do know that clutter is really a big problem with Feng Shui. That is something we all can do without spending money on a Feng Shui specialist. It does sound like this form of Feng Shui is very general. I have heard that you can do a more in depth job with Feng Shui by hiring a professional who would need your birthdate. But of course that is an investment you have to be able and willing to make.

It's easy to go overboard hiring feng shui experts, and redesigning your house. It's all a matter of balance and priorities, but there's a lot we can do behind the scenes to get the energy redirected and flowing through our living and working environments.
