Do you do anything special on this day that comes only once every seven years?

I like to celebrate by beading or embroidering a picture so I can date it 2/29.

Nothing planned for the special day except to stay safe at home. We have snow and sleet coming in for around lunch time tomorrow and it will be coming down for quite a while. It will be a mess.

Well...you are right, Cassie. Leap year is every four years. I did not realize I typed 'seven'. I must have had something else on my mind.

We had a lot of snow yesterday and it all melted today. It sounded like a waterfall out by my patio with the melting snow running off the roof.

The storm is coming in pretty fast now and it is quite windy out. My wind chimes are singing to me again.

Now is the day and the time for all the girls to ask their fellas to marry them! Yep, today is the day ... so if there are any recalcitrant fellows out there; WATCH OUT, the ladies are looking for you.

Now, IF you do not marry her or you turn down her proposal, then be prepared to pay a fine - anything from a kiss to a new silk dress to a pair of gloves and what what.

Oh those days were such fun, I still have and wear my pair of leather gloves I got way back then heh heh.

I remember those days. Leap Year Day was the time when we could ask the boys out on a date or to go 'steady'. Now days the kids call it 'hooking up' rather than 'going steady'.

Ag Ja, but getting married is good too if the timing is right and you have found your mate!

Still, commitment seems a dificult thing (always has been) I think especially when there is work attached and everyone knows that any relationship of any sort needs work and commitment and a kiss and a hug along the way!
