This week I reviewed Sidetracked Home Executives by Pam Young and Peggy Jones.

The warmly humorous Sidetracked Home Executives would benefit anybody who has ever struggled to maintain an orderly and organized home. Written more than thirty years ago by the "Slob Sisters" Pam Young and Peggy Jones, this book blends hilarious personal stories and an easy-to-understand method for bringing organization to chaos.

The authors never mention Attention Deficit Disorder, but this book is geared toward the highly distractible householder. It gives a concrete method to move from chaos to organization. Sidetracked Home Executives gets my seal of approval. Years ago, I bought this book. Recently, I borrowed the updated version from the library to compare the two. They are very much alike. If you bought this book some years ago, dig it out and work the system. As a person who embraces my Attention Deficit Disorder, I recommend it for calming this aspect of the chaos that ADD can bring to our lives.

Have a blessed week,
Connie

I loved Sidetracked Home Executives when I read it in the early 80's.

I have referenced it in my book on Attention Deficit:
Attention Deficit Disorder: Simple, Practical Strategies for Managing Attention Deficit in Young Adulthood.

Thanks so much for your thumbs up on Sidetracked Home Executives.

I appreciate the mention of your book. We can always use information. Young adulthood is a topic that is often overlooked. There are significant challenges for those young folks as they chart their courses through life.

We would love to see more of your posts!
