Right after meditating in our Cyber Meditation last evening at my appointed hour of 8pm here in The Netherlands I fell asleep for 12 hours. This was good because the day before I slipped on snowy ice and fell foreward in my backyard and hit my forehead on a stack of concrete pavers, causing a cut and knot but not a concussion. After being xrayed it was determined I did not have any broken bones but I have large bruises and knots on my right leg from knee down and on my upper left arm. I'm taking pain meds as prescribed for 2 more days.

Gosh Susan that is awful. Although what you have is bad enough thank goodness you were not more badly hurt...........now you have a real reason to 'take things easy'.

It is certainly treacherous out there at the moment, have to take really baby steps in some places. That fantastic Elfstedentocht ice skating race might actually be able to take place this year in Holland, and there has not been enough ice for that for many years. It is an amazing sight, not to mention an endurance test par excellence.

Hopefully you were not practising for it in your garden when you slipped. smile

Am still there at our appointed meditation time, it has become a routine now...........and a very enjoyable and calming one. A very good idea of yours, thank you.

Take Care.

Hi Francine and Burt,

Glad to hear from both of you! I do agree that sleep is healing. BTW, it was hidden ice under the snow.

Francine, it is good that the meditation time has become a routine. I wouldn't miss it, either. But if the time needs to be changed on some days, that's okay, too. I think it is the intention that it be for personal and world peace that works to uplift us and and world.

Hi Loong,

Thank you so much for remembering me. If you're referring to my ice capade the only place still hurting and bruised is the front of my right knee - right where you'd kneel. It's 7 weeks now. Blessings, Susan

Dear Susan,

Went to the gym.In the middle of my workout ,I always do 10 to 15 minutes of meditation.Today ,I did what I call Metta meditation.I inhale the suffering of others and exhale thoughts of good health.Did it for 10 minutes.
Hope everything will be well.
