My 5 year old daughhter was sexually abused by her father. He is a very nasty person which resulted in me putting up with domestic violence for years. She has been interveiwed by DCP which she disclosed and also the Police interveiw which she disclosed aswell. My 8 year old son had noticed something between them but didnt actually see his father doing it, my son got interveiwed aswell and he disclosed. There is no DNA as it was to late for it. I was told by the detective that "something has happened that night". Then i filled in a statement and he then told me that he still has to interveiw her father but worst case scenario is that he gets charged but doesnt have to appear in court for 12-18 months. They have not told me whether he will get charged or not.He works with children everyday as it is his profession. I just need advice and need others to help me understand whether he will get charged or not by what the detective told me. I have my children in councilling becasue they are so upset and scared of him. Please help with any advice as possible. Thanks
