We've covered Tarot cards we all identify with - and that turned into a cool thread, so I thought why not look at the other side of the coin - er card or whatever...
I think we all have those cards we identify with, but also the ones we just don't like to see for whatever reason - usually because they are pointing us to a truth that is hard to accept.
Do you have a Tarot card that when you see it you kind of think "uhoh"
and do you find it turns up with any regularity?
For me it's the 7 of swords. There is something just kind of sneaky about him - it reminds me of people who have an "agenda" or that they are more about themselves than others that kind of thing.
When I see it come up in personal readings about me - I find he tends to point to ways I am deceptive towards myself - perhaps seeing things as I wish they were rather than as they are. Sometimes he says to me perhaps your motivations are not as pure as you would like - consider with full honesty whatever you are doing.
He came up once when I was in a particularly difficult class - the teacher was a pain in the neck, made things ridiculously hard on purpose and bragged that no one ever got an A in his class because no one would ever deserve it etc.
I was very put off by this instructor for obvious reasons and there as an opportunity for a group of us to be a little less than honest on a project. I was justifying in my mind why it might be ok to collaborate (even though it wasn't technically allowed) and I kept getting this pesky fellow around that situation lol which of course led me to doing the right thing - and I ended up with a C in the ridiculously hard class. Had I collaborated with others I would have likely ended up with a B - but the seven of swords set me straight. Despite having what I thought were good reasons to not follow the rules, at the end of the day that is not who I am.
Anyway - sorry for the long story
- anyone else have some input into cards that kind of give you an aversion reaction?
