Perhaps you can help me? Not a distressing series of dreams, just weird!~ I had to visit my optometrist (a lady) yesterday to get may injured eye checked after an accident; (no, I'm not a guy!) and last night I had a run of separate dreams about her. Never happened before and i'vebeen seeing her for about 3 years. The first was in a room, sort of dark, like packing cases around - a store room or something. Don't know what she was doing there but we were talking, she sat opposite me, seeming upset. Suddnely what I thought was a rat came up close to me (I'm not scared of rats)and as I was about to pick it up, I saw that it wasn't a rat, but it had the trunk of an elephant, and was, in fact, a tiny elephant! now, i ask you, TINY ELEPHANTS???!!! For some odd reason, I held it in my hands and gave it to her. It immediately cuddled into her, and she smiled. End of that dream. Next, I was with her again, in a garage, (not mine) and we were cleaning stuff out. She picked up a mug and said she couldn't get it clean. Every time we rinsed it with water, the sediment on the bottom just came back. So, (and this is really off!!) I told her that what she needed to clean it was Coca cola, so we used that, and bingo - the mug was shining clean. End of dream! Am I going nuts or what??!!!

And indeed! Very interesting dreams.

Generally when doing a dream interpretation we want to first see everything as an aspect of ourselves, as it's our sub-conscious mind speaking to us, right?

Okay, so first off, the lady in your dreams is your real life optometrist. A feminine energy - who helps people with their visual problems.

So I'd wonder if her appearance in your dream had something to do with the way you see things.



Room sort of dark that stored something may symbolize something being stored in your own unconscious.



Symbolically, rats can represent the hidden. After all, they can live in spaces and you never even know they are there until all your cheese is gone, right! So I'd see this as a hidden aspect making itself known. They are also very intelligent creatures, and know how to survive!

And THEN it's a teeny elephant. Symbolically elephants are associated with memory (never forgetting, right?) and ancient power. What I think is interesting is that this tremendous power, this incredible source of strength, is very tiny in your dream - so teeny you can hold it in your hand.

She cuddles it to herself - an acceptance, right? Accepting what?

If this were my dream, I think I'd see it as something coming to light that I have the power (lots of power, in fact) to heal. Maybe I've even worried about accepting and using my power, but now I can accept that it will not overpower me.

Garage - another place of storing stuff. But it's not personal.

Mug - something we drink out of. It's holds liquid. But it was dirty. Contaminated. You wouldn't want to drink out of a dirty old mug, you found in a garage, that had sediment on the bottom, right?

Needing to clean something.

The coke cleaned it. That's funny because coke has not one nutritional benefit - yet it can clean sediment.

So, you used something out of the ordinary.

I think I'd see this dream as clearing out something - using out of the ordinary methods.

Oh Melwyn, I am so very glad it was helpful! That's one of the reasons I love dreamwork. Our subconscious minds can be very mysterious, yet they leave so many clues! It really wants us to figure it out

Deanna, I have an update for you regarding this dream. You were right about the 'power' that was only being expressed in a tiny way. I think i've now got a much bigger 'tiny elephant'!

I have been working on my chakras and my energy centres, and fortifying my aura - sealing it, and so on. Last night, after a particularly spiritually powerful phone conversation with a young friend who was reaching out, (he is a Schizophrenic who was into drugs, but now is stable and doing well) I seemed to be burning with energy, and the sense of power within me actually became so intense that I couldn't get to sleep. My hands felt charged, and I could see, in the dark, a white light aura around my hands. My face was burning and I felt a power I've never known before. It did not frighten me, but astounded me. I think I have awakened some of that hidden power you sensed.

The question now is, how do I settle it - I mean, it is still bubbling over. I've tried grounding myself, which works for a while, then this incredible feeling returns and I'm 'buzzing' again. It's almost electrical! I don't 'hear' buzzing, or any other sound, is is not a sound but a feeling of being highly 'charged'!

Do you have any idea what is going on, and how to make this power/energy thing calm down a bit?

I think if this were me, I'd keep grounding, and keep using the energy - sending it out there, ya know?

When I first got into holistic healing, I went through this phase where I just felt on fire all the time - electrically charged. I kept grounding, and kept focusing on sending energy out when I worked with clients. After a while it seemed to subside.

A few years later I was studying with a shaman. And I was complaining to her that I never felt any energy. She laughed - and told me I was bubbling over with it so much, that when I felt energy, it wasn't all that noticeable to me. Like a fish in the ocean having a glass of water poured on her LOL.

I was like "Uh, okay?"

So do you think this could be you getting used to a new level of energy? When you think about directing it, what pops into your mind?

Has this happened before, and you've sort of forgotten about it because it just got to a point where it felt normal for you?

YES! I have felt this before, in the 80's when I was doing a lot of healing with the aid of quartz crystals. I had forgotten the feeling! Probably it was never a problem then because every day I was using the energy, or power, or whatever, to do either face to face healing, or absent healing. So the energy was constantly going out.

I really felt myself 'afire' when talking with this young man, and when I got off the phone, I hadn't come down from the spiritual 'high' and it took all night and much of the morning to do so!

Today (your night is my day!) I brought it down quite a lot by phoning someone else who needed spiritual support, and I went out into the garden in bare feet afterwards, in the rain, and felt the energy level off. I also sent out a lot of love and healing into the Universe and to friends here on the forums. Yep! I'm meant to use it and direct it outwards. I'll sleep tonight now that I've figured it out, and remembered! But gee, last night I could have had the street lights plugged in to me and still had plenty over!

I do think, as you suggest, that it is a new level of energy, and possibly a purer energy as I felt literally 'lit up'!

What pops into my mind when I think of directing it? Well, I didn't think much at the time it was happening, but afterwards, when it calmed down some, the thing that popped into my mind first was that something huge within me had been 'turned on' - and I immediately remembered the words spoken to me by a psychic years ago, when he told me things that I found difficult to believe, about having great power, and having it in Atlantis, and things like that. The next thing I thought of, was to consider carefully how I was meant to use this gift.

Funny, isn't it, how it suddenly 'lit up' like that, with no warning! Just as if someone turned on a switch inside me! I felt energy and power before when I was healing, but nothing like this. This was much more powerful.

If you can suggest anything more, or offer guidance, I'd be most grateful. I really believe that THIS MOMENT is the real reason why I was brought to these forums - so I would be helped and guided by those who know about such things and have walked this path ahead of me.

Oh Melwyn, I think that's just absolutely splendid!

And I think what you're doing is perfect! When I've experienced this myself, or known people who've gone through it, it seems that getting used to the energy, and directing it to healing for ourselves or others is the key.

When you described walking outside in the rain, I could literally feel my own excess energy drain from me, and I relaxed! Isn't that amazing LOL!!

I think if I were going through this right now, I'd do just what you're doing.

You know, you brought up Atlantis. De ja vu! I was just talking with some friends about Atlantis - and possible lives we may have had there - and the conversation revolved around working with that energy - and utilizing it again in this life.

Oh, WOW! I'm tingling just thinking of all this! Deanna, do you also feel that we are on the verge of some huge, spiritual event, in which we are to take part?

I was talking with a traditional Catholic friend last night (who would regard much of what we discuss as being 'off the planet' (which it is, ) - but she has felt this TOO! It's like a 'call up'! People from all faiths and persuasions who are servants of the Divine Love, are being gathered with a single purpose.

She felt it, and has had inner promptings to purify her thoughts and go deeper, and though we do not agree on everything, in this, we were at one and 'in tune'.

I don't know what 2012 is going to bring, but I do 'feel' deep inside myself, that it heralds a BEGINNGING of something very important.

Here, on our Spirituality forum, guided by wonderful souls like yourself and Elleise, and others who are constant posters here, SOMETHING is being BORN - and we are a part of it.

Melwyn, what fascinating dreams -- so full of symbolic meanings. If it was just one alone (one symbol or one dream) it would not have meant so much or not been very clear. All the symbols bring a lot together for you and Deanna is great at pulling together different meanings to have the whole thing make sense.
