One expression of love I know of is very dear to my heart and that of a dear friend of mine. Her boyfriend, whom she loves so much, is in critical condition and sedated, but he should have shown some response. He has not responded to anyone, nurses, doctors, even his parents.
When my friend entered the room she touched his arm and told him she was there. His eyelids fluttered a little as he tried to open them. When she spoke again, he turned his head towards her. To her that was a profound effort of strength from a deep place within his heart and spirit that he loves her. I see that great effort of his as a true expression of love.
Today she returned to the room and her boyfriend's father said "she's here", and as she came around to the side of the bed her boyfriend opened his eyes enough to watch her approach the bed and get close.
The power of love is amazing.
