Hello everyone!

This week's article takes a close look at Emily Dickinson's riddle poem "It sifts from leaden sieves".

Which is your favorite Dickinson poem?

Hi Jessica, I`ll have to go pick a poem. something written by her has always stuck in my head. Hope is the thing that sits within the soul, sings the song without the words and never stops at all..I don`t think this is the exact quote..its close...lol

Hi Tinman. You must be thinking of the one that starts "Hope is the thing with feathers", which is an excellent poem. Aside from the riddle above, one of my favorite Dickinson poems is "How happy is the little stone", which speaks right to my traveling heart. She has a way of finding images that perfectly describe an emotion or a situation or a characteristic.
