Do you believe in the "Law of Attraction?"

What are some of your favorite sources for studying this philosophy?

I really like Ernest Holmes and Napoleon Hill.

How have you "felt" the law of attraction working in your life?

I've felt it, myself, when it's worked both for and against me LOL. I know that it doesn't judge - it just creates.

Recently I've felt it working as requests for me to fill in at local new thought churches have increased.

It's also helping with my writing - the more I do, the more I seem to meet people who inspire me - and remind me - to keep moving forward. I feel excited.

I do know that what I concentrate on, I am more open to finding resources for.

I know that if I allow myself to dwell on things that are negative, or get depressed, usually I attract things of like nature, and get MORE depressed! But likewise, I've had the opposite happen more than once. When I'm feeling wonderful and putting out lots of positive energyh, loving everyone and everything and looking on the bright side, - whammy! Out of the blue I'm hit with something awful that drops me down with a painful crash! And you sit there in a heap asking 'Why'?

Jilly, are you saying that you want to concentrate on finding more resources for LOA stuff, or the stuff you're working on?

Melwyn, I remember trying to get the kids out of the house one day - we ran late, and everything that could go wrong did go wrong LOL! I felt like a walking ad for Murphy's Law.

And I've done that too - put out lots of positive energy - been really happy and then BAM - disappointment.

Anymore it seems that I recover faster if I DON'T give myself a hard time about the negative situation, but more just focus on being able to move through it smoothly. It's a lesson for me in seeing my light when I don't want to.

Stuff that I am working on. I consider that a LOA thing.

For example, recently I was looking for a place to take hot showers. I mentioned that to a few people and they suggested i try the town's parks and rec center. Which was a great suggestion and I followed up on it.

Then boom i got in the mail a coupon to get two free weeks use of my local gym. Where there are hot showers.

Not saying that coupon would not have come anyway, but my focusing on it made me aware of the opportunity. I don't need a gym, so i would have tossed the advert away if 'free hot showers' was not on my mind.
