It's time to prepare for our daily cyber group meditation. Take a few minutes to unwind. If you can't join us now, meditate at 8pm your local time on personal and world peace.

Save your refreshments for after meditation, so digestion does not interfere with sitting still ...

I've had a hectic few days, so it's good to know you were keeping the flow going!

I'm now starting my meditation at 10pm - whoever is around can join me! A wonderful end to a delightful day of serenity and joy.

It's time to settle into our 8pm cyber group meditation here in Western Europe. Join us now or at 8pm your local time. Let's make our intentions for personal and world peace - we're all part of the family of humanity and this is a way to show care for each other.

Save your refreshments for after meditation so you don't have to quickly hop up.

If you've been meditating a while you may find you can sit for longer and longer periods of time and enjoy the growing depths.

Susan -

It's interesting how we're all different! With me, I would be parched if I sat for a long while without drinking first. My bladder is OK with the liquid in it, but I'd be unhappy to not drink anything at all for a full hour beforehand. So I drink until I start meditating, and then I meditate. I can easily go the hour of meditation without peeing, if that's the thought. We're all different!

It's the perfect time to meditate - I had a spike of stress which is caused by a long-dragged-out issue. It may be something I need to finally bring a healthy resolution to. Something to meditate on.

If you're around, join in smile.

I put a link in, 10 posts up called -

Basic Meditation Guidelines

that recommends not taking in refreshments for one hour before meditation. I'll add that I use the restroom right before meditation.

Meditation can help with resolving deeper issues, because we are sitting still and going in layer by layer in a safe way, with no one around to interfere with our thought process. I keep a journal handy to write out new insights. Blessings.

I'd like to say some more about taking refreshments before sitting to meditate:

Guidelines are just that - the general rule for everyone, but there are always justifications to get around the rules.

If you are going to be sitting for 10 minutes in meditation than an hour fast before sitting will probably not make you uncomfortable, since the total time of abstinence would be one hour and ten minutes.

If you are doing an hour meditation, after the first few minutes the regular meditator will lose body consciousness, and so the point becomes mute.

Strive to comply with the guidelines, and if it takes time, so be it.

Daily, new people are reading this thread, so I will continue to remind about abstaining from refreshments for an hour before meditation.

Do your best and don't worry about what others are doing - as Lisa says just above, we are all different.

It's almost 8pm here in Western Europe and time for our cyber group meditation. Join me now if you can or at 8pm your local time. Save your refreshments for after meditation so your body is not busy digesting while you concentrate on personal and planetary peace!
