Now, I am first to admit I am not an expert in this discussion but have tried my hand at it a few years ago. And as you might have figured out, did not pursue the hobby.

I love my candles and totally fascinated with the art - especially the gel ones.

Anyone out there love candles or create them?

I have made my own candles ever since I was 16, now I am 40. I use all natural ingredients such as soy or bee's wax and use essential oils to fragrance them and using a natural wick. It burns so much better and longer.

Hi Karen, thanks for sharing. I love the aroma of certain candles while some just seem to burn and smoke (lol)

Maybe we can get you hooked again Angela! BTW, often times that smoking is due to a clogged wick and disruption of the air around the candle flame, a draft, a fan, something like that.

I would LOVE to learn how to make my own candles but I'm not sure as to how to go about getting the equipment and supplies... Any suggestions?
