My family and I are thinking of the fun places we could visit here in Southern California, now that the kids are on Summer break.
Any ideas??

Besides the obvious - Disneyland - I also like Legoland for the whole famly and Magic Mountain for extreme thrill rides. There's also a lot of inexpensive water activities you can find at the beach.

And I'm thinking about a day trip to Solvang!! I haven't been there in years - and I remember stopping for pea soup and some restaurant that is supposed to be world famous for their pea soup

Deanna, let me fix up my vintage trailer and we can do a Solvang trip! I want to do the wineries our there. And the area around Santa Barbara is one of my favorite in the world.
