Ive never felt more at home than when we were in Pacific Grove, CA. We're doing our best to get back out there - permanently.
Theraputic is the perfect word, too. I had more energy, woke up earlier and like you said, the water, the smells, it all came together.
I even have a sound machine that plays ocean sound. Now if I can just get a stash of seaweed by the bed...
I can totally relate to the intense pull of the ocean, it calls me, ALWAYS.
When I'm by the sea, it's a feeling of total rejuvination: the ions, the smells, sights, and sounds, the sand under my toes and waves crashing in pure energy makes me realize that I belong there. The seagulls welcome me and I'm happy once again, at peace with the world and myself. It's an endorphin, calming and promoting good feelings.
It is my true home, so to speak, and I know that one day I'll end up there.
It's transformative and I love it so.
May we all get to where we need to go.
