Dear friends, I'm sorry I have been unable to attend to the forums of late, but someone attempted to poison my two dogs on Saturday. Three emergency vet visits, and the younger dog is OK, but my sick boy is not doing well. (Kidney disease, heart problems and lung problems)

It was quite deviously planned (so I wouldn't notice the bait) and very deliberate.

I am devastated, and fear for the life of my beloved 12 yr old companion.

Please send him healing thoughts and energy, he is so ill.

My goodness, your poor dogs. How can anyone be so cruel? I am so sorry you are going through this.

I will be thinking about you and both of your dogs today, especially your older guy. I am sending positive healing thoughts his way right now and he will be in my prayers too.

We have a MIRACLE!

My little dog has escaped serious injury from the poison, and his other medical conditions have not been made worse - except that he still has a sensitive tummy and sore throat, But nothing more serious.

I want to thank you for your loving thoughts and prayers. My little boy had the Angels in his corner!

I am going to write a poem of thanksgiving in my 'poetry' section of the SPIRITUALITY forum. (I haven't done it yet, as I've just returned from the vet hospital with my boy. But I will put a poem up there ASAP)

That is awful! Sorry this happened to you. My daughter has two dogs and I know she would be devastated if this happened to her.

I'm so-so happy for your dogs and yet another parallel experience.

The neighbors threw a red canvassed sausage over the fence of ours some years back and though I'd known people can be cruel, I'd never seen such an empty callous void in a human being that they needed to hurt and even threaten to KILL something defenseless against them.

For any person struggling with an abuser, this scenario is a Billboard (an iptomy of what they're living with). Nothing attractive about it.

I've seen many a loved creatures return from the brink of death. Obviously your love that you had for beloved was strong enough to bring them back and within a time-sensitive frame to do it.

I have been away from the forums myself and only just happened across this thread. How wonderful is the power of love! You're so right to say that hate destroys but love does heal.

Thank goodness your precious ones are restored. It makes me so sad to know that people can be so cruel. But I believe that they are spiritually blind.
