Here is the current article for this week.

In order to know what kind of success your website is seeing and producing, it is necessary to incorporate some type of tracking application. We hear of tracking the number of visitors and we've heard of tracking how many "hits" a page or image on a page receives. All seems complicated right?

Hi Grace:

I use Google Analytics.

Is this a good way to do this?

Yes, Google Analytics is one of the most popular and widely used.

However, the website hosting I use has the statistics and analysis on the dashboard of my websites. When I sign on I have the option of going straight to my websites or I can access all my information to see how my site has been doing.

It is complete with how many visitors on what day and what my monthly numbers are for visitors.

And then again they do give the option of using Google if I so choose.

Hi Grace, What website hosting do you use? I use SBI and it provides so many tools for measuring traffic. It's awesome. It tells me my top 200 keywords that bring people in, what my top 200 pages are, what my top entry pages and exit pages are and also who my top referrers are.

I've never used google to measure traffic but I do use google insight to track rising searches and searches that are trending. This often helps me figure out what type of solutions people are looking for and helps me customize my ads a bit more on my highest traffic pages.

I read recently that PPV must be 2.9 or higher in order to rise in search rank. I calculated mine and found this to be true. If a visitor isn't staying on your site and your bounce rate stinks then you're site will not rank well.

Hello Exercise Editor,

Thanks for your response.

I use Weebly website and hosting. They were a very small start up company when I joined with them. But now they have grown and is becoming more well known through cyber space.

I love the way they have their graphs set up to help keep track of traffic and performance of our sites. You also have the option of using google analysis.

What are some of the other web hosting sites you may use when considering building a websites?

Place your answers, comments and even suggestions here.
