I no longer give gifts for Christmas, just birthdays now as I feel that Christmas has lost its meaning for so many.

And yes the recession has caused a lot of folks to rethink their Christmas budget, but my take on the whole subject is the SAME no matter what the economy is.

I bought my grandson a MasterCard
gift card
My neighbor stole it
The mail man put it in her mail slot by mistake (he wasn't paying attention ) happens a lot here
She denies it
I can't prove it
I just know in my heart she got it
I only hope IF she did get it that she used it to buy her little girl some thing for Christmas with it
And didn't use it on her drug habit
Christmas is very special to me

The best gift I've ever given anybody was just a few weeks ago. It was a painting that my boyfriend's grandmother painted for him when he was a little boy. The painting was at his mom and dad's home in Australia and he talked about it a lot so I arranged for them to bring it with them when they were visiting. The look on his face was priceless and he has thanked me many many times for this. I had no idea what it really looked like so I was worried a bit that it might be tacky but it's pretty cool.

Best present anybody bought me was a trip to Hawaii. Best gift ever!!!

What great gift you bought your neighbor! Just kidding.

I believe the Universe works in mysterious ways and is constantly moving each of us toward bliss. So, this thing w/the card is for you & the recipient, whoever that is.

We know what gift the recipient got. Take pleasure in knowing that whoever it was, really needed at exactly the time it arrived.

Pushing the anger or irritation aside, what else has this experience done for you? Ponder that question peacefully and open yourself up a bit. I promise, there is a gift in it for you too.
