Our words are powerful tools we use every day. They can be daggers that cut us down or they can be pillars of stone that build us up and support us.

Think about the negative and positive responses you receive with the different words you use to express your emotions, beliefs, and views.

Think about the unspoken words also. For sometimes silence is even louder that speaking out loud.

Words, they have the power to build nations and the power to tear them down.

Think about what words you can use today to help build someones self esteem, help someone to have hope, and encourage someone to take the first step in making a positive change in their lives.

I bet you'll receive something positive in return.

Have you read or seen the work of a Dr. Emoto and his book called "Messages in Water"?

Words, indeed, have their own energy vibrations. Thoughts, too. I have to remind myself to take care with the words I use, especially upon myself.

It is so true that what we focus our brains on affects us. The words we choose to use, even on our own thoughts, affects our reality.

I have uttered a lot of words that I would take back if possible.

"Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"

Is one of the worst lies that has been perpetrated upon society.

The Word has framed worlds within and worlds without and will cut to the bone and hurt deeply.

Ask God for forgiveness Jim and try to forgive the hardest person in the world to forgive... yourself.

Words are very powerful and can enlighten, give joy, make one feel so loved and accepted, then words can destroy, hurt, accuse, break down relationships, used as lies to take sides, totally destroy a beautiful and loving friendship.

We must all be careful on how we use words and which words to believe.

"The Word has framed worlds within and worlds without and will cut to the bone and hurt deeply." from Burt

This is so true, Burt. Words are one of the most destructive weapons one can use against us.

I'm right with you there. Words can be lethal. The sad part about words is,once spoken, they can never be taken back. The hardest thing I have seen was with a friend who had a heated argument with her husband the day of 9/11. She never got the chance to say 'sorry' and the guilt and regret almost drove her to suicide. The greatest pain I can remember has not been from injury to the body, or physical pain, but from words intentionally spoken and used as weapons of destruction.

"The sad part about words is,once spoken, they can never be taken back."

That is so true. No matter how hard someone tries to compensate for harsh words they have spoken/written or words that have falsely accused, they can never take back the hate and lies they expressed. And, if they used those to make others believe their false accusations, then the truth of who they are and what they did will come back on them tenfold.
