Hi Bella Family:

I was not able to breastfeed my now 25 year old only child because I had to return to work as a single parent when she was 6 weeks old. Yes, back then, there were no facilities set up to pump breast milk and I was so not into using the ladies room.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on you and your baby both benefitting from this?

I have heard that the baby is healthier and your insides return to normal a lot quicker.

Breast-fed all 3. Down to "bedtime nursing only" on the last one. It creates good health for mom & child, intimate bonding and more.

I wish we were more forward thinking & understood this to be the norm. That way, when someone like you is unable to do it, we spend more time helping you find a solution rather than the opposite.

There is no doubt that any amount of breastmilk that we are able to give to our babies is better than none. But it is always important to remember that, not just with breastfeeding, but with all parenting, we do the best we can for our children with the information and support that is available to us. There is no good in anyone beating herself us for a situation or a decision that took place in a totally different context than today.
