OK.. Fellow Crafters and Artists...
Somerset Studios has been around awhile now and has over a dozen magazines they put out on a regular basis. If you are a paper craft artist it is most likely you've bought one of their mags or have at least flipped through one.
Here's my beef... the artwork they feature all has the same style! Every issue and every different magazine they have looks similar to the last. Different artists... same style. Arrgh!
As a result, I'll buy a mag occasionally if one of their projects jumps off the page at me. Otherwise I go searching for inspiration and information elsewhere.
The problem with that is there is no competition for Somerset Studios. I have scoured Barnes and Noble and found no real alternative for paper and mixed media art that showcases techniques and projects.
If you know of another magazine that could give Somerset Studios a run for their money.. please let me know!
