We have a shed that caved in during a February snowstorm which has been in pieces since then. It's at least now a pile of pieces, but snow will be coming soon and once it comes down it'll be down until February. I don't want that steel out there an entire year smile

Bob is resistant to clearing it out because he says there are other priorities like the basement. My point is that the basement could have been worked on all this time too and he plays video games instead smile So if I'm the one doing it, I get to choose what I do.

So I'm waiting for the sun to really come up and warm up the outside, and then I'm going to start doing it. My poison ivy is finally at the point that I think I have the energy to do it.

We'll see how it goes! He claims I need his truck because the pieces won't fit in my car, but we'll see. I have a ruler, I know how to use it smile

Figures, I contacted the steel place he thought was all set and it turns out they don't have a location near us! I called another one and got their hours, but now Bob wants to just have someone come and take the steel away for free. He thinks we have less than 100 pounds in our shed pile which, at rates of 9 cents a pound, is only $9 total. He would gladly give someone the $9 to deal with this for us.

Shoot, I was thinking it'd be worth far more ...

Hmm, we do get more for steel out here than that. I think from 12 to 18 cents. The thing with steel is that you can rack it up quickly if you start looking for it. It's a volume thing. smile

Scrap aluminum is much much better, btw.

The steel is still there. Maybe tomorrow I will press again for a solution to it, one way or another. I don't like it being there, it is like a constant itch.

OK I finally dragged Bob into the basement and did some basement cleanup. Now we have an area to put the kayaks in. Once we get those in - when he gets home - I will press to get the steel taken care of next.

Hmmm. Almost a month later and the steel is still there. I hate feeling like a nag. One issue is that his car is full of junk and he has to clean his car before he can do the steel. And he never cleans his car.

I will wait until Wednesday. Then I will find a person to call to just come and take it. This is far too much angst for a measly $9.

Well, steel today was 7 cents (it fluctuates) but I brought in a load in the back f my jeep and got about $20. I did have a 10% additional add-on coupon. Cash is good!

I really meant to call someone today. But I was just too overwhelmed with other things to do. Maybe tomorrow ...
