That's ok, Francine - Beetle is tough, an outdoors man and is used to drastic weather changes. I just wanted to see some authentic, traditional lederhosen. I am sure they are quiet nice looking...

Wooley long johns...right now that sounds good. It is so cold outside today, even with the sun shining brightly. We have cold winds blowing down off the snowy Sierra mountains. And it is not even winter yet. I have been out walking and my feet are nearly froze!

I don't think those 'Manly Daisy Dukes Overalls' will find their way onto my torso when scaling a couple snow cover mountains. I really don't have the insulation to prevent the legs from getting frostbite.

Now that is a very practical and logical thought, Beetle. It will be wise to keep those leggies warm.

Granpappy's hound has been stalking a fox that is after the chickens. That ol' hound is pretty clever and takes advantage of himself knowing his way around.

Granpappy loves to watch these kind of games, makes life interesting for him -- expecially since the harvest is in and it will be a long cold winter. Whatever paints his wagon, I say, as long as he is happy.

Hey all,
Our weather in Kansas is kind of cold in the winter--like freeze your buns off cold. Our youngest son would have done well with lederhosen. When he was in high school, I had to make a rule. He could not wear shorts between Thanksgiving and Spring Break (end of March) and I had to hide the shorts.

He's mid-twenties now, and he came home a couple of weeks ago to get his coat. It was a shock to me, since he didn't like to wear one before New Year's Day when he was younger!
