I just went to some other hoarders' homes and realized i really am not that bad, comparatively. it's nice to see i am not the only one among my peers dealing with this. there are different levels.

Dear Jilly -

Absolutely we are all on different stages of our path and there are always people who are more challenged than we are. Find joy in what you have achieved, and plan out your steps to reach your goals!

I made out a week by week list of how my behavioral health worker and I can do things each week. I really like having a schedule written out. It makes me imagine how it will all look cleared up.

I'm a brand new poster to these groups,so bear with me please... YES! I'm so overwhelmed by clutter that 2 days ago,I lost a shirt that I'd just changed out of!.I started throwing EVEYTHING into the garbage, and then realized that this wasn't going to solve anything. I did, however make a "Dumpster-Diver's",day,when he saw me bring a large box of over 400 "Store-Bought" Cassettes out to the bin. I said "if you think those are interesting, just wait'till I bring out the Computers". I realized just how much "STUFF" I have, and have started to list it on a site called "FREECYCLE".Almost every city has one,and I don't have to burn gas to ditch stuff I overpaid for in the first place.

Definitely look for ways to donate your items to someone else who needs them! That way the items go to a good home and help someone else thrive smile
