Thankyou for the post. I love the idea of sound therapy.

being in water also seems to help me. Swimming, a jacuzzi, or a bath. there is something soothing about water.

I was just taking today with someone who said when she feels stressed she goes for water - that being near water calms her. Maybe we should all know where our local pond is!

Stress for many people, including me, is the main trigger for the onset of Depression/Anxiety. It happens almost without my knowing about it. I have stress in my life...compensate, compensate, compensate...BAM! Nervous Breakdown. I have had to not only learn coping mechanisms, but most important of all...I have had to learn to walk away from situations that I know will induce the kind of stress that will potentially send me to the bottomless pit of despair.

I learned a stress technique I use is to literally stop what I am doing and take a walk. If the weather isn't nice, I will go into meditation mode. This usually keeps the anxiety at bay.

Those are great ideas Kristal! Meditation helps me a lot, it helps me quiet down and remember what is really important.

Man, I would LOVE a hot bath. Since I do not have hot water, I find myself heating small amounts of water in bowls in the microwave and putting my feet in them. It's better than nothing!

Do you not have a tub, Jilly? You can heat big pots of water on the stove for a bath.
