I'm enjoying the beautiful weather here in North Georgia. As we are working around the yard, I am reminded of the fall preparations I need to make for my birds. I write about these in this week's article.

Prepare Your Bird for Cooler Weather

Wonderful article Heather. We have a cage cleaning problem during five months of the year that there is snow on the ground. The hoses are put away because of freezing temperatures. Big cages are a huge pain. I have three bathrooms, one has a jacuzzi type big tube so I stick the cages in there. Then I have to clean the tub and sterilize it. Like I said, a big pain.

I am blessed to live in the south, so the days are rarely so cold I CAN'T take the cages outside but really hate doing it when the weather is in the 40's or cooler. My mom uses her jacuzzi tub as well.

I use bulb in the cage to provide them heat in winter
