Judie, the best Jennifer Chiaverini book to start with is The Quilter's Apprentice. It gives you the background for the rest of the series. It probably is best to read them in order, but certainly not necessary. There, of course, are things happening to the characters in each book that form a basis for the next book. I think there are 12 or 13 books, + some quilt books. Some are sappy, some are quite historic. You'll fall in love with the characters. Happy reading.

Cheerio for now

PS Thanks Toni for the heads up on the Chiaverini books, I'll hold one at the library today.

Ok, it's Q, and I'm in a cheeky mood..... Q is for Quarters. Lots and Lots of (fat) Quarters. And no, dear husbands and partners, this is not referring to certain sections of quilters bodies (although I do have some bits that would qualify for the role). I love fat quarters, they're easy to fold, easy on the eye and easy to procure! Q is for Quarters!!!

Cheerio for now

Spot on Bakas, how many of us started with a sampler AND haven't finished it? I've notice though that sampler quilts are coming back, with a more modern version. I love the concept of the sampler, and the beginner quilter sampling a lot of the different genres of quilting. It can be a great learning curve.
