Something came up right before Pow Wow and I lost 4 days I had planned to work on the shawls. So I'm still sewing and fringing. In the meantime, here's a photo of one at the Cherokee of GA Pow Wow with an uncommon decorative technique.
This shawl and regalia were made for the Florida Indian Hobbyist Association Princess. It is fringed with satin ribbon, (3/8" I think). The vibrant designs were painted with dimensional fabric paint. I've seen air-brush painted shawls before and they can be stunning in their artistic detail. I had never noticed one with dimensional fabric paint before. This one is stunning as well. The bright colors seemed to glow as she danced in the low light of dusk during Grand Entry.
