Treat yourself and your family to a rare film experience, see "The Help." It is simply one of the finest films of the decade. The weight of the film stands firmly on Viola Davis' quiet and proud Aibileen. Her Oscar-worthy performance as a maid in 1960s, is solidly supported by Emma Stone and relative new-comer Octavia Spencer with a surprising stand-out performance by Bryce Dallas Howard. What I enjoyed most about "The Help" is how quietly it works on you. No big moments or violent acts to make the point about race in America. It is a beautiful story told with dignity and grace. What a rewarding film experience. The Help Offical Movie Site

I have heard nothing but great things about this movie. I can't wait to see it.

I haven't seen it, but I've read comments from people who object to its simplistic characters. Do you think they're overreacting?

I read the book and thought it was one of the best books I'd ever read.

I don't think the author set out to create the great American novel. She was telling a story and some characters might come across as simplistic but she got the message across, gave people some things to think about and wrote an interesting story. People, it seems, are always on the look out to create "much ado about nothing!"
