Hmmm...this is interesting to think about. The first thought that came to mind for me is that women are still the primary caretakers and food-growers or food-purchasers for their families, all around the world. And so they tend to be the ones thinking the most about food sources, in terms of things being organic, sustainable, etc. They are also most connected to household refuse, and therefore most connected to things like recycling, reusing, composting, etc. In that sense, I think we are very directly connected, on the household level. When I start thinking on a more 'macro' level, I don't know how much is directly linked to women's issues...
