Hello Fellow Children's Writers!

I just added a new article to the site.

Help! I Can't Find Time to Write

Do you have some special tips for finding pockets of time for writing? If so, please share them so I can include them in an upcoming column.

Happy Writing!

Hi Annamaria:

You must have read my mind(lol).

I was just trying to figure out how to reduce my list of stuff I need to be writing about and finally came to the conclusion that I have to DIVIDE up what I have to write about. And make sure I dedicate at least 15 minutes to each project each day. Now this is easier said than done as emergencies do occur. But I have to START somewhere or NOTHING gets written(lol).

Great subject and looking forward to see the responses wink

OMG - wonderful article!!! I hung my head in shame at the suggestions. I get online and start social networking - all in the name of creating contacts, but that's not really what I'm doing...LOL...

For example Sunday, the day I told myself I would sit down and write, I spent the entire day watching movies on Netflix, on my laptop so "of course" I couldn't write, even though my desk top was a short slide across to the foot of my bed. I wrote 2 articles about 3 weeks ago and have the nerve to be behind a week. Lazy me....LOL

...another example is that I've suddenly developed this fascination to watch The Waltons and Little House of the Praire reruns on HallMark channel. I don't even know what that's about.

thanks again!!!

I write the first couple of hours in the day and the last couple. But on a similar topic I find it hard to read a Kindle book on my computer because I keep stopping to read emails.

I wonder how people who work a paid job with full internet connection in front of them manage to concentrate on their jobs.

Hi, Tina

Thanks for the post. I have to rip myself away from the internet whenever I'm writing. It's so convenient to use the internet for research but then I find myself wandering...

Best,
Annamaria

Great points. Though in terms of limiting my internet time... I think I should say good-bye for today.

BYE!
