What a delightful article! I think we all should give thanks to the animals in our lives and appreciate what they do for us. Cows do quite a lot!

It's always interesting to me that some people care tenderly for their cats but then mistreat other animals. Shouldn't all animals be deserving of the same care?

Thank you and you are right. Very often animals are abused even in India. Some animals like cows get good treatment but so many other animals are mercilessly used. The Indian sloth bear for example is used for street entertainment. Young cubs are caught from the wild and their muzzles are pierced with a red hot iron needle and a rope is passed through it. The animal lives in agony all through its life!
