Dumb question so you don't have to answer but what is the difference between pagans and druids?

It was nice to see you on Skype and hear your wonderful English accent. smile

It's not a "dumb question"! There are so many different spiritual systems covered by the term "Pagan" I sometimes have difficulty in keeping track of them myself. The quick answer is "All Druids are Pagans, but not all Pagans are Druids" for a more in-depth answer I have found a good reference/starting point here .

Druidic beliefs are remarkably flexible, and while the most popular system is still Celtic Druidry , there are new expressions developing all the time. A good example of this are the Star Trek Druids who have a grove in my local area of Portsmouth UK

I've loved studying both druidry and the Celtic philosophies. One of the first books I ever got was on Celtic Shamanism, and it really hooked me!

Who are some of your favorite authors Ian! I think I have a book by Isaac Bonewits - I've yet to read it though. John Michael Greer and Phillip Carr Gomm have also made it to my bookshelves.

I've GREATLY enjoyed reading John and Caitlin Matthews.

Bonewits' book "Real Magic" is an excellent read. Some of my books from Mexico - such as "Su Poder Magnetico" from the Bibloteca Basica de Bruguera are in Spanish. It's a useful way of keeping up my Spanish and the techniques in that book tie up nicely with the Frost and Fararr books on witchcraft. I also have a few of the original NLP books by Bandler and Grindler whose techniques blend with the Chaos magick works. Put simply one wall of our back bedroom is solid books, plus a 8'x 4' bookcase in the main living room, some in the loft, and a box in my works van that I read while waiting for clients who swore they'd be there not to turn up. 90 percent are on aspects of magick or Paganism.

I LOVE books. I remember counting them a few years ago (before a move) and I had nearly 500 hundred. I got rid of quite a few - but now find myself looking for books that cannot be found. I wonder how many I gave away (or loaned out) that I end up repurchasing again? LOL.

I think I have Bonewits' book, Real Magic. Here somewhere LOL.
