Children are often asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Are children with learning disabilities equipped to answer that question? A "can do" attitude can make all of the difference.

Fred Epstein, as a pediatric neurosurgeon, went where no man had gone before. He would operate on the brain stem. If he had believed what he learned in school, that he was not very smart, then many children would have died.

This man with learning disabilities, Dr. Fred Epstein, pioneered difficult brain surgery on kids. Over 2,500 children lived who would have died from "inoperable" brain or spinal tumors.
