All the healthy supplements like silica , vitamins , protein , olive gold , zink etc. These are natural elements.

Eat what a bird eats - raw fruits and veggies (no juices), raw nuts and seeds, and tons and tons of fresh greens (lettuce, spinach, cabbage, kale, etc.). Don't worry about quantities; just eat these things all day long, every time you get hungry. After three days, you'll feel great and they'll be tasting great, too.

Ignore the gimmicks and fad diets. They're just confusing, time consuming, and make you fatter.

I'm on a diet that's about 70% raw, plus I've added cultured foods like kefir, fermented veggies like homemade kim chi and some of the Body Ecology digestive enzyme products to my diet and I've lost 5 pounds in about a month without doing anything else, although I do exercise quite a bit as a general health program.

I just read Donna Gates book, the Baby Boomer Diet and she also has one called the Body Ecology diet which talks about the importance of building healthy bacteria in your digestive system so your body can break down the food you eat and get the most nutrition from it. This is an important part of maintaining a healthy weight.

Sandy is right, don't fall for gimmicks. You have to make healthy changes and stick to them over time or you just gain the weight back.

WOW, if we could get everyone to eat as many fruits and veggies daily like we are supposed too then dieting wouldn't be necessary!

That's really true! Fruits and veggies don't have many calories, yet they contain fiber to fill us up and help clean out the toxins and junk in our bodies and they are packed with nutrients.

Going on Diet does not mean starving. Take less calorie but balanced and complete food. Carbs, proteins, vitamins, minerals all should be included. Most importantly water should be taken in plenty

My biggest help is a sliced cucumber instead of chips at bedtime.
