Do you prefer to work in a group, or on your own?

I have a group of women that I get together for celebrations and full moons, and it's so much fun!!

I like time on my own too, though. New moons especially.

That sounds like you have a well-balanced group. Sadly in Portsmouth all the groups and covens generally fall apart under the weight of egos in only a few weeks!

The most successful group I was a part of just met on the solar Solstices and Equinoxes and was mainly composed of solitary practitioners. We may be getting together again next month as one of the key people who moved to Ireland is coming back over to visit for a few weeks. One of his old friends and teachers is modernising their whole house in order for them to have somewhere to stay.

Ahhh... our groups changes a lot. Maybe that's why it stays fun LOL!! I've been part of groups where the egos can't stay out of the way.

Crazy... considering the spiritual path we all say we're walking LOL!!!

It was the same with the Solstice Group, only when people tried to organise more regular groups with the same members did the ego issues appear.

One time I organized a small ritual - 9 ladies, and planned on doing some "knot" magic. I had some twine and beads. Someone invited like 15 extra people - and none of them brought food! It was really frustrating for me because it ended up turning into a social gathering for this one gal, and we never get to the ritual part. :::grr:::

I was shocked that she'd think it was okay to bring all those people (though luckily only 6 of them came) to my home without first asking. So weird!!

This is why many traditional training covens are usually held out in difficult to reach areas out in the wilds. Really thins out the 'tagalong' factor!

That's such a good idea Ian!! And I know some lovely, out of the way areas!

We have a most remarkable desert here. It's said that if you visit late at night, you are highly likely to see a UFO! Of course, as wonderful as this desert is, I have no interest in visiting during high summer LOL!!! I'm a winter-time desert visitor.

Though we do have some lovely and amazing forests only about an hour from my home. I love going there year around - mostly for the wonderful mexican food restaurant and metaphysical store that are in that peaceful mountain community laugh

Oh yeah, and for the forest too laugh
