Choosing a Focal Point for Every Room

Donna, the article about a focal point is very good. My focal point in our livingroom is the fireplace. Then from that is our big square western coffee table. Our livingroom is really big, so I have to have 2 focal points. Works out great!

Thanks for sharing, PJK. My living room is long and narrow. Our focal point is our big screen t.v that is flanked by shelving units holding my pitcher collection. It's the first thing you see when you enter the room. However one wall has two large windows, so depending where you sit in the room, the focal point is the t.v. wall or the front yard. The t.v. wall looked better when the shelving units were part of an entertainment center with the middle piece holding a smaller t.v. that fit behind closed doors. We've repurposed the entertainment center to our bathroom to hold towels.
