Darren Rowse is a respected elder statement and mentor when it comes to issues about online entrepreneurship. He is a first class mentor to many. I got the inspiration on online entrepreneurship from the man. However, If he was suspended for the claim above...it happened because he violated and breached Google's rule.

Today's rules are even more strict. YouTube can suspend your account for posting copyrighted material, even if it's not for commercial purposes (such as to show your friends your favorite 10 seconds of a clip). In some cases they will just remove the clip but I have heard of situations where they suspend the account altogether.
