Yesterday I could not for the life of me remember the English word for Gomukhasana. It's cow face and in this case the Sanskrit sounds so much nicer.
There are many poses that I now don't have to think twice about anymore and if the English word is used I stall and actually have to try to remember what it is.
Some I only learned and know in Sanskrit like:
Parighasana (Gate Pose)
Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose)
Chaturanga Dandasana (Four-Limbed Staff Pose)
I've never met an instructor who used four limbed staff pose for chaturanga and I've practiced with a lot of people and the opposite is true of high lunge, there is no agreed on Sanskrit name for this pose.
