Joy, may I bend your ear for suggestions please?...I still have underlying issues that I wrestle with every day. Temper, anger, snapping...Being angry is draining emotionally and physically...I need to get up my productivity again and control my temper somehow. Ideas? Tips? Suggestions? Help please!!
Deb and Phyllis have some great
words of wisdom above. I have two initial suggestions:
1) Read the following book as soon as possible:
Loving What IS2) Today, from straight away, pretend that you are a 6 year old and live the rest of the day like a child would. Don't let any thoughts about the past enter your mind. Don't let any concerns about the future enter either. Just spend the entire day living every minute TOTALLY in the present.
People just want to be happy, whatever life throws at them. Young children manage to do this but, as adults, we forget how to live like children.
(The few people who DO live like children are generally the happiest).
Think about it. Young children love every minute of their life. They laugh a lot, they're forever looking for new exciting things to do, they don't bear grudges, they forgive quickly and they only live in the present. Also, they have no concept of regretting the past or worrying about the future. They just embrace life from one second to the next with no fear.
(Remember, humans are born with only 2 fears: 'Fear of Falling' and 'Fear of Loud Sounds'. All other fears are acquired and can be got rid of.)So live like a young child for just the rest of today and see what happens! (JOY)
