Lilian Jackson Braun was the prolific author of "The Cat Who..." has died at the age of 97.
The Cat Who Could Read Backwards was the first book in the series and was published in 1966. The series was based on two Siamese cats named KoKo and Yum-Yum and their owner, Jim Quilleran. Jim was a journalist living in a town that was never named. Mrs. Braun wrote
29 books in all and was said to be working on the next book at the time of her death.
