BUT! Here's one to ponder:::

I get lots of US Postal Mailings from efforts & non-profit organizations soliciting donations. They've gone as far as to put in 'free gifts' of greeting cards, return address labels, etc., small light-fleece blankets, dreamcatchers, key fobs, etc., bookmarks, calendars, etc., etc.

I like the latest from an organization that is dedicated to asserting and defending the rights of Indian tribes, organizations and individuals nationwide. They sent me a 2012 wall calendar that goes through December 31, 2012. <<nice pictures I might add>>

If the Mayan predicted 'apocalypse' is to occur on the 21st of December, then why are the remaining days of the year displayed?

In case the apocalypse kit was ordered from Acme?


Why do banks have their doors wide open but the pens bolted to a desk?

Now you got me to thinking. Did the Mayan predict 'apocalypse' on 12/21/12? Or did they just complete that particular calendar as far into the future as they could at the time?

Black Elk and other spiritual leaders taught us that all life is a circle. Maybe the Mayan were telling us that the circle (cycle of time) ends and will begin again on that particular date, the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next -- as the Hopi believe we are entering the Fifth World.

This is a great subject to ponder on, indeed. I love to discussing the different theories, of which there are many.

'Salutation Of The Dawn' has always been one of my favorite poems and that is a good way to look at life, I think.
