Tomorrow is the kick-off to Summer. Many will be traveling to the beach, lake or river. There will be hotdogs and hamburgers, frisbie and golf, kids in the pool and backyard BBQ's. We'll spend time with our family and friends and probably gripe about the high price of gas and groceries.
Tomorrow should be the day we fly our flags, attend a memorial service, visit a cemetary, or voluteer at a VA hospital. Tomorrow should be a day of reverance, a day of thanksgiving, a day to remember all those who gave their lives for our freedom and security.
Our freedom is like a tree. It must be protected and nourished to grow and spread its limbs like an ancient oak. Our Freedom Tree has been watered and fed with the blood of each one who sacrificed their life for our great country.
Tomorrow, take a few minutes to remember and honor those who gave you the freedom to have a great time this holiday weekend.
