If you're like many women, you spend your days taking care of others. It doesn't matter if you have kids, your kids are grown or you're child free. We all deserve to take a moment to pamper ourselves. So my question is what have YOU done for YOU today?

I decided to get my first ever manicure and as I look at my fingers tapping away on the keys here, I'm smiling.

What did YOU do today?

I do something for me every day by exercising but beyond that I'm pretty bad about it so yesterday I went shopping for shoes. Next week I'm getting a long overdue facial and getting my hair cut and styled (I only usually get it cut). It's my early b-day present and mother's day present to myself : )

I can't believe this is your first ever manicure. I had you down as a manicure type (LOL).

And I agree with Monica. Thought you were the manicure type! I love manicures and pedicures myself but don't get them weekly like lots of women.

What did I do today for myself? I meditated as part of the Chopra Center's 21-day Meditation Challenge. If you're new to meditation, I suggest you sign up (it's free) and do it. It's sublime!

That was for me. Now, it's off to cook up a storm for the family's Easter dinner...

Hey girls, I just got back from my facial and it was heavenly. She cleaned my face, steamed, exfoliated, moisturized and also gave me a killer neck, arm, hand, and foot massage.

This woman was not the best facialist I've had but her beautiful personality made up for it big time. She told me all about growing up in Vietnam, her first marriage, her acupuncturist boyfriend and his son. I love stories. She was so sweet.

The other lady who used to do my facials was so much better but she was a bit strange and always made me uneasy. I'm definitely going back to this place : )

Next it's hair day and new dress. My plan to look fabulous before I turn 41 is working!

Wait did I read a post earlier that said you thought I was a manicure type gal...LOL... I meant to go back and comment on that. No - so totally the opposite....giggles....drives the husband up the wall because I don't do things like that.

It does feel good when I pamper myself though. I've got to do that more often. One day I will even treat myself to another massage, they feel so wonderful... My husband gives great massages, but it's alway nice to have one done by someone who is not necessarily vested in an outcome....Lol...

LMAO, no kidding. No alternative payment method or happy ending for me honey!
