I've always had issues with my shoes staying tied the entire time I run. I would have to stop and retie them every few minutes. In an issue of Woman's Day magazine, I discovered an article on the back page about how to tie a reef knot. This knot was guaranteed to stay tied without slipping. I tried it today when I ran. Not once did I have to stop and retie my shoes. So I found a place on the internet that tells about how to tie your shoes this way. The link is below.

Ditch the granny knot to tie your shoes more efficiently

I may be the only person who didn't know how to tie her shoes this way, but just in case there is someone else out there with this problem, I thought I would share the solution I found.

Cool video thanks for sharing. I went on Ian's Shoelace Site a while back to learn how to tie other knots and there's so many ways you can tie your shoes. A co-worker who's big into trail running told me the only knot he uses is ladder lacing or train track lacing. I like lock lacing. It works really well.

Ian's site is the best to learn all types including decorative lacing.

I am so happy that they are staying tied now, I haven't bothered to look into any other ways of tying my shoes, but I'll be sure and check the other ways out before long.
