I had a missed miscarriage this past weekend. I started spotting, went for an ultrasound and found that my baby had died at 6 and a half weeks. I am 29 and have a happy healthy 2 year old daughter. My dr said it was something wrong with the chemical makeup with the baby and it probably wouldn't happen again. I am devestated and traumatized. Could there be something wrong with my body? My dr says no because I have a child already. Both my sils are preg and I'm avoiding family events because I can't bear to be around them. What are the chances of this happening again, and what can I do to heal?

It helped for me to talk about it, and its a bit awkward to talk about it with anyone that hasnt been through it, so reach out to those that have, after people find out about it, you will be amazed at how many have miscarried. If you have no one to talk to in person, it has helped me to join forums, like this one (although there isnt a lot of activity here)to talk about it and hearing responses of other's stories. I lost a baby girl at 16 weeks in march. It is so hard, but we all get through it. I am now on my 2nd cycle of ttc again, which has given me hope:) Dont give up, miscarriage is more common than you may think, more people have probably had one than people that havnt. We may be scared when we get pregnant again after the loss but we will get through it! Kiley

Thank you for your reply. Your right it helps to get on here and talk to people. I'm so sorry for your loss. I never thought it could happen to me. Your right we are gonna be really scared next time but we will get through it. I'm just scared that something is off with my horomones or my body and don't know how to find out. Kim
