It is late in the school year, and many students with ADD have struggled all year. What should you do? This is a tough question, but you might want to ask that your school district evaluate your child for special education services. Be sure to put your request in writing. Make it a formal request.

An IEP can be a real help for a child who is feeling desperate about school. There are rights that a child has as a special education student.

If you start now, you might be able to have the pieces for your child's school success put into place early in the next school year.

For an introduction to this topic, read one of my older articles. You might also want to explore the resources section of the ADD site.
